Tax Treatment Disclosure

Last updated:

Last updated: 2026-07-31

Allospend treats the group-collection fee as a business-to-business platform fee charged to the organizer at payment time. The fee may be collected through Stripe Connect as an application fee.

Organizer payment receipts may be income to the organizer. Organizers are responsible for their own tax reporting, deductions, records, and advice. Stripe may issue tax forms, including Form 1099-K, when legal thresholds or Stripe policy require it.

Allospend may use Stripe Tax or another tax provider to calculate and collect applicable sales tax, VAT, GST, or similar transaction taxes on Allospend fees, Premium subscriptions, stickers, shipping, or other taxable products. Taxability depends on the product, buyer or organizer location, nexus, exemptions, and current law.

Refunds, disputes, fee refunds, transfer reversals, and payout reversals may require tax-side adjustments. Allospend records money movements with tax classifications so refunds and disputes can be reconciled for reporting and filing.

This disclosure is not tax advice. Organizers and payers should consult a qualified tax professional about their specific obligations.
